Research and Development
Ark Power Tech Team operates globally having its main advanced R&D center in Denton, Texas (campus of University of North Texas). We collaborate with various research teams around the world to further our component technologies for configuring advanced battery.
ARK Proposed Li-S Battery Configuration:
- Anode = ARK MoS2 coated Li-metal anode
- Electrolyte = ARK electrolyte
- Cathode = ARK 3D carbon with sulfur cathode
ARK Anode TechnologyARK anode technology is a Li-metal anode with a coating layer of MoS2, which effectively eliminates or reduces the growth of dendrites on the Li-metal anode.s.

ARK Cathode TechnologyARK cathode technology is a cathode component in the form of 3D carbon nanotube (CNT) with sulfur, which drastically increases the energy density as well as the capacity of the battery, for example, Li-S battery. Our cathode technology reduces the effect of "polysulfide shuttling" in the Li-S battery technology.

The performance of our proposed Li-S battery technology has been demonstrated to have the specific energy density of above 500 KW/kg over 1,000 cycles of charge and discharge in coin cell format. This results were published and shared with the world in a peer-review well known journal, Nature Nanotechnology, 2018. The Ark Power Tech's proposed Li-S battery technology provides 2-3 times lighter and much more powerful battery configurations for various applications in the near future.
